I have always dreamed of doing my own variation on a burlesque shoot. I just knew that I wanted it to be the most diverse group of badass women. Women of all shapes, sizes, ages, races. One that was truly all about EMPOWERING women to love the skin they are in & really embrace their inner vixen.
So I decided that it was high time that I actually made it happen. Thanks to the help of a group of absolutely amazing hair/makeup artists, badass chicks, and a bar (Filthy's in Vero Beach) who was so amazing as to let us use their space to make this dream a reality.
I will start by posting a few of the behind the scenes shots that we captured of all of the artists doing what they do best; transforming our volunteers into their burlesque versions of themselves.
Once everyone had their hair and makeup done, then they got into their costumes. Then it was "lights, camera, action!" We threw on the soundtrack for Burlesque and got to shooting. We had so much fun. It was truly an afternoon of empowerment for us all.
This was truly one of the most incredible days of my life. The images came out even better than I could have ever imagined. Everyone had so much fun and really just got to cheer one another on while we took some badass photos.
A big thank you goes out to Misty, Emily, Brittany, Bridgette, Tati, Rachel, Corrine, Hannah, and Kai who all felt comfortable enough to join me in my crazy idea and stripped down to their lingerie for this once in a lifetime Burlesque shoot. I couldn't have done it without all of them! Love you ladies and am so grateful to each and every one of you.
